Remember my Garage Sale Scores from here and here...well I was able to use some of them to make a bee-u-tee-ful display for my front hall. Here's what I used:
.50 Hurrican Glasses - I used 2 for this project = $1.00
$3 for all 4 - I used 2 for this project = $1.50
Bag of Wheat = .25
.25 Brown Bias Tape - I used very little for this project = .05
I wanted to glue the hurricane glasses to the bases, so I cleaned them first.
Then I used Gorilla Glue to glue to the glasses to the bases...this was my first experience with Gorilla glue.
The instructions say to dampen one piece and apply the glue to the other.
Then clamp together or use weights to make the bond stronger...books worked just fine.
See how pretty!!
I used a stick pin to secure the bias tape together in the back, then I used raffia and just tied a knot,
They go very nicely with my coffee filter wreath! |
Supplies to make 2 Hurricane vases - $2.80
