Remember my Garage Sale Scores from here and here...well I was able to use some of them to make a bee-u-tee-ful display for my front hall. Here's what I used:
.50 Hurrican Glasses - I used 2 for this project = $1.00 |
$3 for all 4 - I used 2 for this project = $1.50 |
Bag of Wheat = .25 |
.25 Brown Bias Tape - I used very little for this project = .05 |
I wanted to glue the hurricane glasses to the bases, so I cleaned them first. |
Then I used Gorilla Glue to glue to the glasses to the bases...this was my first experience with Gorilla glue. |
The instructions say to dampen one piece and apply the glue to the other. |
Then clamp together or use weights to make the bond stronger...books worked just fine. |
See how pretty!! |
I used a stick pin to secure the bias tape together in the back, then I used raffia and just tied a knot, |
They go very nicely with my coffee filter wreath! |
Supplies to make 2 Hurricane vases - $2.80
Time to make hurricane vases - 1 1/2 hours
Making something beautiful for my home for under $3 = Pricele$$
